Club Story

Piara Waters Cricket Club was originally registered as the Southern River Cricket Club in 2006 by past members of the Gosnells Cricket Club.  These past members made a decision that it was no longer affordable to operate SMCA sides under the Gosnells Cricket Club banner. For that reason they established Southern River Cricket Club to allow players to remain in the local area and still have representation in the SMCA competition.

Along with several former Gosnells players, many new players have joined and helped Piara Waters Cricket Club to grow over the following years. Our club prides itself on trying to ensure everyone can have an affordable game of cricket, while remaining competitive and enjoyable for everyone.

Since our inception the club has many several finals, including a one day premierships in 2007/08, 2012/13 and a One Day A Premiership in our first year operating as Piara Waters Cricket Club in 2014/15.

In 2015/16 the club will be operating out of the sporting complex located at 350 Wright Road Harrisdale just off Nicholson Road in Piara Waters.

The facility is state of the art and has many benefits for the club to use in the future.

In 2015/16 the club is looking to consolidate its strong efforts in the 2014/15 year after moving to the new venue from Southern River, part of this will be taking on a larger board and installing a functions committee to help everything run smoothly in the upcoming season, our aim is to provide an enjoyable facility for both playing and social members.

Our board members from past to present have fought hard to build the club to what it is today and we’d like to think we would be a good club for anyone to join. We’d like to consider ourselves as a family friendly club where everyone is included and considered a part of the Piara Waters Cricket Club Team.
